Join us for a Stained Glass Christmas Trees class or learn to flamework in our  upcoming Holiday Glass Earrings class. We've also added more sections of the popular Make Your Own Glass Blown Ornaments class, so be sure to sign up before they sell out yet again!  

Our classes are limited to small groups to ensure you receive individualized attention from our talented Teaching Artists. Beginners are welcome and encouraged! 

​GlassRoots Founder, Patricia Fenix Kettenring, ​1941-2023
GlassRoots is sad to announce the passing of our esteemed founder, Patricia “Pat” Fenix Kettenring, at age 82. She was an energetic, wildly creative, and fiercely determined cultural visionary and leader. Pat’s commitment to addressing racial and economic inequalities through the arts in Newark was unmatched. A transformative visit to Hilltop Artists - a cutting-edge program in Tacoma, WA, centered on glassblowing for youth from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds - sparked her passion and commitment to the glass arts, culminating in her founding of GlassRoots in 2001, where she served as Executive Director until 2010.
