AMIRA ROGERS

Amira Rogers, Teaching Artist Flame and Flat shops. Amira Rogers is a contemporary artist that has been exploring art at a very young age. Creating art in the city of Newark NJ all her life, she knew she had a passion for it. Studying art at Art’s High school in Newark NJ then achieving her BFA (Bachelors of Fine Art) with a minor in graphic design from Seton Hall University in 2014, Amira considers herself an Interactive artist. May she be working with various mediums (Photography, Glass, Acrylic paint, pencil and marker) Amira art is only half way done without the engagement of the viewer. Teaching Artist Flame and Flat shops Amira started with GlassRoots in 2008 as a summer intern, learning in each of GlassRoots studios. She flourished in many of the programs that were offered. Having a firm grasp on flameworking, kilnforming, coldworking and glass blowing it should come as no surprise that the talents of Glass Artist Amira Rogers’ mosaics are also stunning. She recreates portraits and floral imagery as works of art that often double as functional items! To view more works from Rogers stay tuned to GlassRoots’ shop https://shop.glassroots.org
