CLASS POLICIES
Permissions
Participants aged 10-17 must turn in a signed parental consent form and have a guardian/teacher present during the experience. We only accept participants under 10 years of age (12 for glassblowing) in specially noted GlassRoots Jr programs for safety reasons.
HOLD HARMLESS: You agree to hold harmless GlassRoots, its officials, its employees and agents for any and all claims for personal injury and/or property damage in which damage and injury is or appears to be proximately caused in whole or in part by my participation in this program.
PHOTO PERMISSION: You give permission for GlassRoots to use, without limitation or obligation, photographs which may include my image or artwork for purposes of promoting the organizations's programs; unless you explicitly state permission is not granted.
Class Format
Class fees cover all materials, except where noted, and access to equipment. Class time will be divided between demonstrations and presentations, hands-on work and class discussions. All students should bring a notebook to class to record techniques and to plan their individual projects. Information on proper studio attire, guidelines for studio use and health and safety will be sent as applicable, however, we recommend that all students wear closed-toed shoes and a light, cotton shirt and long pants to the studio. Long hair should be tied back. Glass blowers should not wear nylon or synthetic clothes or sandals.
Please note: Some items made in our studios may require additional cooling time, and/or finishing in our Cold Shop, and may not be available to take home the same day. In general, items will be available for pick-up 48-72 hours after the class has concluded. Please call before you come. We will ship items upon request for an additional fee.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
GlassRoots makes a substantial commitment when organizing the class program, and vacancies can be hard to fill at short notice even if there is a waiting list. Therefore, for cancellations received up to 3 days prior to a class start date, the full fee will be refunded less a $20 cancellation fee. Refunds will not be granted for cancellations received less than 3 days prior to the first day of class or for withdrawals during the class session.
For classes purchased through a third-party (e.g. Groupon, Living Social, etc), we will make every attempt to reschedule if cancellation is in advance of 3 days prior to the class scheduled.
If for any reason GlassRoots cancels a class, a full refund will be given.
To cancel a class, please call the GlassRoots at 973-353-9555.
