The GlassRoots | Peters Valley Fellowship 2024
Calling All Newark Artists!
Apply today for the GlassRoots|Peters Valley Fellowship! Artists between the ages of 18-26 are eligible to apply for this free, immersive summer program hosted by GlassRoots in vibrant Newark, NJ and the enchanting Peters Valley campus in rural Sandyston, NJ.
The GlassRoots|Peters Valley Fellows will spend 11 weeks immersed in a breathtaking scope of art-making techniques ranging from glassblowing and stained glass to blacksmithing and jewelry design! In addition, Fellows will be mentored by professional artists working in the field who will provide professional development workshops including portfolio development. Participants also benefit from the camaraderie of peers in an intimate and creative safe space!
All expenses including housing, meals, and transportation are covered by the program, giving the Fellows the rare opportunity to focus exclusively on their creative practice for an extended period of time. Lastly, the GlassRoots|Peters Valley Fellowship culminates in an exhibition of the Fellows’ work both at GlassRoots and at Peters Valley.
Program Details
May 27- June 28 at GlassRoots (5 weeks)
Studio access and instruction in the following areas:
July 8- August 14 at Peters Valley School of Craft (6 weeks)
Fellows can select 6 one-week classes in a wide range of mediums, including:
Application priority deadline: 4/12/24
Interviews will be conducted between April 15-19, and candidates will be notified the week of April 22.
We are offering two info sessions: Monday, 3/18, at 12:30 PM and Thursday, 3/21, at 6:30 pm. You must attend one of the info sessions to qualify. Parents are welcome as well!
