After attending Parsons School of Design and getting a degree in Illustration, Sandra Charlap created a company designing and creating custom tabletop ceramics for noted department stores, such as, Barney’s, Henri Bendel, Neiman Marcus, ABC Carpet and Home, as well as many smaller boutiques around the country, while working on fine art as well. Her work has been featured in numerous national magazines, such as Metropolitan Home, Home, Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Studios, Art Direction and The New York Times.
After moving back to N.J after many years in NYC, Sandra created a new business offering custom murals and decorative finishes throughout the tri-state area. In 2007, she went back to school at Montclair State University and majored in Fine Art with a concentration in Printmaking. While developing a greater expertise in Printmaking as well as Paper Making, Sandra continued creating bodies of work in paint mediums, including Watercolor, Acrylic and Oils. and continues to show and selling work to a wider audience. Sandra brings her artistic and entrepreneurial spirit to GlassRoots.
